Hope Johansen is an actor, director, musician, and model based in New York, Atlanta, and Chicago. Born in Chicago, Hope has been a driven and dedicated performer from a young age. As a toddler, she was drawn to singing and dancing, usually in the aisles of the grocery store. Hope has always been a natural storyteller with a flair for dramatics. This passion for shaping stories led to pursuing acting and directing degrees in college. She hopes to work in film, television, and theatre. She is passionate about developing new works and telling stories with strong female voices. Her dream is to have a platform to always work on passion projects and empower other female creatives.

Hope is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, B.A. Theatre Arts (BFA Acting and Directing programs) B.A. in Cinema, Television & Emerging Media. Hope is a cohost of The Cinema Chicks podcast. She is also the Resident Artist and Treasurer of the female-run Chaos Collective, an artists’ collective in New York. She is an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. When she’s not onstage, you can find her making brides’ dreams come true at Kleinfeld Bridal (Home of “Say Yes to the Dress”). She currently resides in NYC.
